Description

Minimally invasive surgery has become a common term in visceral surgery and gynecology. This specialty has almost evolved into its own surgical specialty over the past 20 years. Today, as it is firmly entrenched in every subspecialty of visceral surgery, visceral surgery is no longer a specialty in itself, but a permanent part of the arsenal of surgical options available. In each indication, the advantages of a minimally invasive approach include reduced intraoperative blood loss, reduced postoperative pain, and shorter rehabilitation time, as well as reduced overall and surgical postoperative morbidity. With the advent of modern oncology treatment algorithms, this effect not only reduces the direct impact of surgery on patients, but also becomes an important step in reducing the side effects of surgery. Thus, they allow surgery to become a module in modern multi-disciplinary cancer treatment, blending with multimodular treatment options at different times and extending and broadening the possibilities available to cancer patients. In this rapidly changing environment, the need to learn and perfect not only open surgery but also a variety of high-level minimally invasive techniques is greatly impacting the modern surgical training pathway. The use of modern elearning tools and the possibilities of new, praxis-based surgical training have been easily integrated into modern surgical education, persisting throughout the surgical careers of modern gynecologic and visceral surgeons. that combines multimodular treatment options at different times and extends and expands the possibilities available to cancer patients.
