Title
Civil Law of Ukraine and the European Judicial Area
Subject
civil law
Description
This collection of essays examines the development of Ukrainian private law in the ongoing process of Europeanization. This process is determined by the Association Agreement between the EU and Ukraine, which was concluded in 2014 and obliges Ukraine to implement a wide range of European legal acts in its national legal system, aimed at achieving the integration of the Ukrainian economy into the EU's internal market. . However, it would not be accurate to describe the process of integrating Ukrainian private law into the European Judicial Area as simply the implementation of a Community acquis. On the contrary, the Europeanization of Ukrainian private law is part of the values-based Europeanization of the entire Ukrainian society.
