Title
New Frontiers of Fashion Law
Subject
Fashion Law
Description
Fashion law covers a wide range of issues related to clothing or fashion accessories, from the moment the product is designed and followed through the distribution and marketing phases, until it reaches the end user. Contract law, intellectual property, corporate law, taxation law, international trade, and customs law are of great importance in defining the new legal fields that are gradually taking shape. This book focuses on the new frontiers of fashion law, taking into account areas that have recently become of great concern for the entire fashion world: from sustainable fashion to wearable technology, from new solutions to cultural appropriation to model regulation. from advertising laws in digital markets to the impact of new technologies on product distribution. The aim is to stimulate discussion on contemporary issues that have the potential to define new boundaries in fashion law, such as the impact of increasing consumer ethical sensitivities (which increasingly require effective solutions), so that a comparative legal perspective becomes more interesting. This book seeks to outline new areas of law involving the fashion industry, and identify new frontiers in fashion law that have not been comprehensively addressed in the existing literature.
